So here is my thought for the day. ..

My husband and I are going over our annual budget for 2009 and looked at how much we were spending on the gym and Micky's training. We decided to put it in the category of "well being". We looked at how much we had spent in 2007 on doctor visits, time out of work and so on and then how much we spent last year in 2008 when we started working with Micky. It dropped incredibly. Working out is an investment in ourselves, Our health and Our well being. You need to make room for it in your budget and trust me, it has already and continues to pay us back in the long run.

I charge you to figure up how much you spend on doctor visits, rx drugs, time out of work and so forth and see how getting your body in better shape and eating right can really make a difference. I am happier every time I look in the mirror, my marriage is better and I feel great.

Nothing to say. I just want everyone else to know how important taking care of yourself is. And now that my family is doing that, it has really made a huge impact on me. Not only personally but professionally as well.

I work in the health insurance industry and you would be amazed at how much money people waste (their own and the health insurance companies) when if they just took charge of their own health and well being and were accountable for their actions, maybe the health industry wouldn't be the big bad monster it is to everyone. The new President keeps making comments like "Be accountable for your own actions", "If everyone did their job like the pilot that landed the plane in the Hudson, this world would be a better place." That hits home for me. I am investing in myself by working out, exercising with a great trainer and eating right to help profit myself. It helps my healthcare cost stay low, which helps me get on a plan that costs less for my family per month and keeps me out of the doctor's office and out of the pharmacy. Imagine if everyone did that. How great would the world be then! Maybe my job wouldn't be so stressful and I wouldn't have to listen to people cry to me on the phone all day because healthcare costs have risen so high that they have to choose between health insurance and their house or food.

I thank God everyday that I live in such an incredible country and it is really struggling right now. That makes me sad. People all over the world are having to make very hard decisions about their lives. People are losing their jobs every minute of every day, people are losing their houses and the things that they have worked so hard for everyday. It is very easy for a person to get stressed and get run down and get sick right now. Stress is much harder on a persons body than a cold or a virus. Keeping fit and eating right is more important right now than any other time, in my opinion. I just hope I encourage one person to change and my time has been well spent.

I agree! I feel so much better since I started working out with Mickey, I have more energy, my joints don't ache, I sleep well, and I am losing weight. Now I need to start getting serious with the Cheat to Lose diet, although I did lose 8 lbs on it, I haven't been following it too well lately. Your success is encouraging me to get back on track. Jean Ann
